It overlooks the Colosseum (100 mt) which can be reached on foot through the wonderful Traiano Park. It is also near the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Santa Prassede Church, the Roman Forum, the Domus Aurea and Rome's most famous shopping streets.

From Mecenate Rooms you can visit some of Rome's most historic monuments on foot. Walk through Traiano Park after you have taken a break at the typical Italian kiosk at the entrance, until you come to the Colosseum. After a look round the Colosseum, symbol of the Eternal City, and the Traiano Arch, walk along Via dei Fori Imperiali and admire the largest archaeological site of Ancient Rome.

Continuing through the streets in the centre of Rome, you will come to Piazza Venezia, and the Campidoglio. Combining culture and amusement, enjoy yourself shopping in the city's most elegant streets such as Via Condotti, crossroads of the top fashion labels. Not far from Via Condotti you will find the world famous Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the marvellous Spanish Steps.
